Mortgage Loan Inspections
Mortgage Loan Inspections are performed to ensure that property exists in the field and is consistent with recorded information (Registry records). As part of the Mortgage Loan inspection process, property improvements (houses, sheds, fences, and other development) with respect to property lines are shown on a plan that is prepared by a land surveyor. In addition to property boundaries and structures, a note detailing any special flood hazard designation for the property is included on the plan. This type of survey service is performed in accordance with 250 CMR 6.05.
